We’re often referred to as ‘The Dr Phil(s) of Hair and Beauty’, Karen and David Lynch have inspired, educated, and motivated many hairstylists, beauty therapists and salon owners to improve their salon business and service skills. They are seen as business coaches that have ‘walked the talk’ enabling them to offer practical, specific advice to the unique issues that confront salons everyday.
Having their own successful award winning Hair & Beauty salons, led Karen and David to be recognized for their high business performance and positive team environment and first began their seminars by telling their success story. The demand was high. Together they have written and delivered over 220 seminars on Salon Management, Staff motivation and development, Growing profit, Increasing Retail sales and Client service.
It was during this time they realised a big part of their success was due to their consultation system they had developed and used in their own salons. ‘An Outstanding Consultation’ was filmed using actors, wardrobe, and a highly creative film company to produce a state of the art DVD training Program to help hair salons worldwide train their teams how to increase their sales. It was an immediate success. This was followed a year later with ‘Make Me Feel Important’ a DVD Training Program for both Hair and Beauty Therapy. Again with an audience worldwide, this system motivates and educates staff to understand how a client feels and results in a high level of client referrals.
All the while Karen and David continued their seminars and coaching though their company, Karen David International. Now with offices in New Zealand and Australia, they continue to raise the bar with CD’s, books and systems. Dedicated to helping the industry they have also set up a free online community for Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists to connect, share, learn and be inspired.
